COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
FOUNDER + EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Tiny But Mighty Fund was created to celebrate the unbreakable bonds between animals and their companions, while also raising awareness and funding for animal welfare and rescue groups in the Middle Tennessee community.
The fund that is managed by the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee honors the spirit of Chico, a miniature Chihuahua that passed away in 2013 from congestive heart failure, and is named for the inspiration he provided his guardian, and to serve as a reminder that even the tiniest acts of kindness can make a mighty big difference. FOUNDER + MANAGING PARTNER
Nashville Fashion Week was conceived in 2010 to foster Nashvilleβs heralded community spirit and concentration of creative, fashion-forward and entrepreneurial talent, to create a one-of-a-kind five day event that is uniquely Nashville.
CLASS OF 2017-2018
The Leadership Nashville Foundation was founded in 1976 as an independent, executive leadership program to give community leaders a three-dimensional view of this city. Since Metropolitan Nashville is a union of satellite cities and neighborhoods, participants live and work in communities that are near and yet worlds apart. Leadership Nashville plays a vital role in bringing these leaders together.
The goal of Leadership Nashville today is the same as it was in 1976:
- To build channels of communication between established leaders.
- To connect these leaders with community issues.
- To equip participants with insights not solutions.
